2nd December 2019
During this visit I helped embroider some coats for Sidegate Motors, I also sorted all of the threads into their pantone colours so that they can easily be found when using them for an order. I made a lot of cups of tea for other members of staff!

3rd December 2019
I delivered to a big customer of the business who regularly orders laser engraved plate, this involved getting them to sign a delivery note to prove that the goods had been delivered.

9th December 2019
In this time I took pictures of some of the work that our French exchange student done to use on our social media to show what personalised products we made.

16th December 2019
We had a large order for safety inspection stickers that are put on wind turbines, the process involves printing them, laminating them, and cutting them individually by hand.

19th December 2019
As it was so close to Christmas we spent some time tidying for when we come back.

29th December 2019
As it was just after Christmas our employees hadn't come back to work yet, we used this time to move the desks about and have a good clean.

3rd February 2020
 A hauling company that we do work for bought 32 new trailers, two can be done in a day due to the size of them. It also produces a lot of waste from the backing paper of the vinyl. To save the time of those going out to fit the stickers, all the rubbish was left on the floor to be put in to bin bags which I done in the evenings.

6th February 2020
Spent most of the day out on deliveries.

7th March 2020
We got a huge order for 16,000 inspection stickers which all had to be cut individually by hand within a week.

Sorting all the end of year filing

25th March 2020
Due to being on lockdown because of the Corona Virus we sent our employees home and used our time to go through the job board to work out what work we were able to complete without having to go out to customers, we also stopped customers coming in to the premises.

26th March 2020
Getting general jobs done like tidying and filing.

27th March 2020
I spent most of the day in a cherry picker fitting vinyl stickers to the side of a boat, this involved making sure that it was straight and in the right places, but was really cold as we were right on the quay.

Funding for small businesses

Funding for a small business Personal savings- this is where the person starting the business uses the money that they have earnt from previous work. This is good because then the business is theirs and they don’t owe anyone any money. However, if the business fails then they lose their savings and their source of income. Family and friends- Family or friends sometimes offer to help start a business, this is good because there are no deadlines to pay the person back, and there wouldn’t be any debt on their loan. However, this can cause friction and the family or friends may lose a lot of money because they wouldn’t have understood and assessed the businesses plans. Crowdfunding- This involves asking for small donations from many people, this is good because the money would not have to be paid back.
